Kayla was immediately drawn to the gumball machine image on the case and wanted to know if it was for her and if it was a present. Not exactly the normal child reaction to a case for baby wipes, right? What she didn't know was that this was totally going to be a present after a few small tweaks.
When you're traveling or in a restaurant the reality is you don't want a million Legos with you because they are small and easy to lose. I've seen enough under-the-table-gum for one lifetime. Maybe even two. I found that a wipes case was the perfect size to hold a decent amount of Legos and fit a little LEGO building plate
We have a few floating around the house, so I cut one down and could have easily made 2-3 of these cases from 1 full size building plate. Then all I did was hot glue the plate inside the bottom of the Wipebox and add some Lego blocks and Minifigures and it was ready to go. The case is able to close and keep the Legos inside when you're traveling and then once you sit down in a restaurant, doctors office, etc. you're ready to build.
And yes, we don't just have girly Legos in our house. Kayla actually asked for this LEGO Police Station
for Christmas last year. Which is odd for a 4 year old girl but the tomboy in me was proud and totally went with it...and spent about 3 hours building it while my husband laughed and shook his head.
Of course the Wipebox is not just for making awesome travel Lego cases. It's a stylish alternative to those regular cases and well, let's be honest. Baby wipes are not just for babies. I still take them with me when we go out to eat because, well....you know.
